Here it is, the long awaited review of the HTC Droid Incredible for Verizon Wireless, before you check out the review you may want to go over the HTC Droid Incredible Features.

Style and form factor

The stylish form factor of the phone will make it very appealing to fashion savvy people who believe a phone is more then just about productivity. In my opinion it is a very sexy device with its most flattering features being its light weight and thinness, might I ad it also fits very comfortably in the hand. I was extremely happy to see that it did NOT have a trackball, unlike its counterpart the Google Nexus One, instead it has an optical track pad similar to that found in the Blackberry Curve 8350. The track pad is a huge plus as it is much more convenient, and for the fact that you wont have to worry about the hundreds of replacement trackballs that every blackberry is prone to.

Touch Screen

One thing everyone loves about android 2.1 is its ease of use, which carries over beautifully on the Droid Incredible. Thanks to HTC’s Sense user interface navigating through the menus is a breeze as the WVGA touchscreen using OLED technology responds to the slightest touch without hesitation. I found the menu setup is very similar to the HTC Droid Eris, which is not a complaint.  I cant forget to mention the brightnest that radiates out of the screen thanks to OLED technology, the resolution is perfect and HD videos never looked better.

Camera

In the past Android devices have come under a lot of scrutiny over there cameras, well this is not the case this time around. The 8.1 megapixel camera broke the mold and performed beautifully during my testing of the device. 8 megapixel is capable of blowing up a photo much bigger then the standard 4×6 resolution, and this was the case with the camera on the Incredible as well. Just to test my theory I took a still picture and blew it up to poster size in photoshop and to my amazement the photo was not pixelated at all. Compared to the camera on the Motorola Droid… well… there is not comparison.

Overall

My overall opinion of the device is that it may become Verizon’s new flagship phone and replace the Motorola Droid. The truth is that HTC’s sense user interface is.. well.. dare I say it… INCREDIBLE! When mixed with the hardware of the device it makes for the perfect phone, if your in the market for a new phone and don’t mind shelling out $300 minus a $100 mail in rebate then this is a no brainer.
